We all need a place to call home, somewhere where we belong and feel safe.

If you need supported accommodation, we can help. We offer a range of homes that can provide you with greater independence, while ensuring you still have the support you need to participate in day to day activities.

At Brightwater, we have a range of homes consisting of 6 to 12 individual bedrooms across Perth that can cater to your unique needs. We have two homes that are specialised for people with Huntington’s disease.

All homes have accessible and functional design features and are located close to local amenities, community services and public transport. The homes are designed to blend into the community.

Each home is set up to suit the needs and personalities of the people who live there. We can provide specialist modifications to suit your abilities and goals such as hoists, ramps and handles, to make your house your own.

Accommodation support is provided individually, or within a group setting and includes 24-hour a day support with staff that sleepover at night. If you need extra assistance at night, we can also provide staff on an ‘awake’ shift.

What is supported independent living?

We look at what works for you, including where your friends and family live, what’s around your new neighbourhood and if your new housemates are a good fit.

Supported independent living (SIL) is the name of the NDIS funding that provides support to people with a disability with day-to-day tasks, so they can be independent and learn new skills.

Supported independent living pays for a support person to help you with day-to-day tasks like personal care, such as showering and getting dressed, and eating and cooking meals.

At Brightwater, we provide Supported Independent Living in our supported accomodation locations, where you share the home with other people who also have SIL funding, and we have a friendly team providing the support.

Our range of homes are tailored to different levels of support that people may need, so it is best to speak to us about whether we have a vacancy that suits your individual requirements.
