Services for Younger People
Services for Younger People provides residential, rehabilitation and respite accommodation for younger people with disabilities, predominately neurological, between the ages of 18 and 60. Rehabilitation Rehabilitation is provided for people with acquired disabilities and issues of cognitive impairment at the Discovery Way and Oats Street Facilities. This service is goal focused with clients supported in recognising the impact of the disability in their life. Clients are encouraged to develop realistic outcomes and these outcomes are then translated into programs supported by both Allied Health and Care Staff. The programs aim to maximise functional ability achieving a level of independence compatible with the clients ability. Accommodation Permanent accommodation is provided in both a community house setting and in a larger congregate house known as Endeavour House. This accommodation is mainly for people with an acquired neurological disability with one facility, Ellison House, providing accommodation for people with Huntingtons Disease.
