Allied Health Services
Allied Health is the collective term for all professional health services other than nursing and medical services. Brightwater employs Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Social Workers. We also work with Dietitians, Clinical Psychologists and Podiatrists, whilst accessing audiology, orthotic and orthoptic services from the wider community. Allied Health members of Brightwater Care Group work as part of our specialised health support team, respecting the professional contribution of others to provide a customer-focused, quality-based service. Brightwater offers exciting student placements for budding Allied Health professionals. Our service model: - Is primarily consultative for Therapists, who assess residents and design individual therapy and recreation programmes to optimise independence.
- These programmes are implemented by Therapists, Therapy Assistants and Care Workers.
- Provides a flexible, active maintenance level of care
- Incorporates the principle of person-centred care
- Uses a unified, cohesive, consultative approach
- Commits Allied Health to contributing and participating to Brightwater Care Groups professional development programmes and operates within statutory, legal and financial requirements
- Is committed to a quality improvement approach to all aspects of care
