Brightwater Services

Brightwater Edgewater offers quality, low care/ageing in place residential accommodation for older people.  Located in Edgewater, the facility is close to Edgewater City Centre, and has 33 private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Care Manager, Angela Lowe and the Brightwater Edgewater staff have created a caring, positive and interactive community for older people including those requiring dementia care.

There are a number of health services provided to residents at Brightwater Edgewater. Brightwater’s Allied Health staff work as part of an interdisciplinary team, respecting the professional contributions of others to provide a customer focused, quality based service.  The Allied Health Team includes an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, Podiatrist and Therapy Assistants.   Residents can choose to have their own doctor provide medical care or they may choose to have a doctor who visits the site regularly to provide that care. Seating and Postural Care Services and Dietetic Services are also available.

Brightwater Edgewater offers a range of services and variety of activities for residents, including an ‘Upright and Active Program’ which takes place every day for participating residents. Other services and activities include a weekly on-site hairdressing service, bus outings, gardening, cooking, quizzes, exercise groups, happy hour, and monthly entertainment by various performers. The Joondalup Library provides Edgewater with door-to-door service of all library needs including large print, talking books, videos and books in all languages.
