Lady Onslow’s Legacy
In 2001 Brightwater celebrated 100 years of care in Western Australia. To celebrate the centenary Brightwater commissioned a written history called ‘Lady Onslow’s Legacy’. This project was overseen by Professor Tom Stannage, an internationally respected historian, and was researched and written by Dr Deborah Gare, of the Curtin University Division of Humanities.
The publication is rich with stories and images of the staff, former residents and members of the community who have contributed to the organisation throughout its history. Lady Onslow's Legacy is not purely an organisation record but a snap-shot of Western Australia throughout the last century.
